The void-of-course Moon is the gap between the Moon's last major aspect in a sign and its entry into the next sign. Starts made in this window often go nowhere, while routine and finishing work go smoothly.
How the void period is determined
The Moon is the fastest point in the chart, crossing a sign in about two and a half days. While it moves through the sign it forms aspects to the planets. Once the final exact major aspect is behind it and the sign boundary is still ahead, the void-of-course period begins. It ends at the ingress into the next sign.

Contracts, project launches, weddings, moving house, large purchases and elective surgery. Tradition says what begins in a void Moon leads nowhere: it either stalls or ends differently from the plan.
